I'm considering adding intake fans underneath my graphics card. Do bottom-mounted fans usually make a noticeable difference to GPU or VRAM temperatures, or are they only useful in certain case layouts? I'm using an Antec CX300 and would like to know whether this upgrade is worthwhile.

It mostly depends on how open the bottom of the case is and whether the fans can pull in cool air. If the intake area is unobstructed and aimed directly at the GPU, it can help. If the bottom is restricted, close to the power supply, or has poor ventilation, the improvement may be minimal.
Bottom fans can work well when the case is designed around them, especially if they sit directly below the graphics card. However, I’d only add them if you’re currently seeing high temperatures. Check your existing front-to-back airflow first, since improving front intake or rear/top exhaust may help just as much. The Antec CX300’s layout and available clearance should determine whether bottom fans are practical.
How would you rate the CX300 for adding bottom intake fans and improving GPU airflow?

I’m using an Antec CX300. Do you think its bottom area is suitable for this kind of fan setup?
