Do I Need Thermal Paste for the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Cooler?

I've recently bought the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU cooler, but I noticed that neither the cooler nor the CPU came with any thermal paste. It's been a while since I last installed a CPU, and I wanted to clarify whether I absolutely need thermal paste for this setup. Is there something I might be missing, or has the shipping process changed recently? I just want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything critical before I do the installation.

Unfortunately, you still need thermal paste for this cooler setup. While some coolers come pre-applied from the factory, I've seen that less frequently. So it’s a good idea to grab some just in case it doesn’t have any on it when you open it up.
