I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 1600 and I've decided to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600X. I've already updated my BIOS to the latest version, but I'm uncertain whether I need to reinstall Windows after swapping out the CPU. Can anyone clarify this for me?

You shouldn’t have to reinstall Windows just for a CPU upgrade! Unless you’re using encryption tools like TrueCrypt, you’re all set. Just a heads up, changing the motherboard might trigger a Windows reactivation, but changing CPUs alone is generally seamless.
Upgrading to the 5600X is a solid choice since it’s a big step up from your current CPU. You definitely won’t regret it! Plus, upgrading your CPU won’t break Windows unless you're using encryption. So go ahead, enjoy your upgrade!
Upgrading can be a bit nerve-racking, but it sounds like you’re prepared! Just keep in mind that installing a new GPU and CPU takes some learning, but it’s really not that hard. DDU will help you remove old drivers for a smoother experience. You got this!
