I'm trying to install the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor on my MSI PRO B650-S WIFI motherboard, and I saw a warning saying it requires BIOS version 7E26v1C. Can someone explain what this means? Do I need to update my BIOS if it's older? How does that process work?

Yep, if your motherboard has an older BIOS version, you’ll definitely need to update it for the 9600X to function properly. Fortunately, this board supports BIOS Flashback, which makes it pretty easy. You just need a FAT32 formatted USB stick (32GB or smaller), load the latest BIOS file onto it, and follow the instructions to flash it. Just make sure to read the instructions carefully since sometimes the file needs to be named a certain way or extracted before you load it.

So do I need a working PC to get the BIOS file?
