Hey everyone! I'm planning to buy a GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GAMING OC 16G, and I've read that it needs three PCI-E 6+2 pin cables. My current power supply, an AORUS P750W 80+ GOLD Modular, is rated at 750W, which seems to be sufficient according to various forums.
The PSU comes with two regular PCI-E 6+2 pin cables and one pig-tailed cable (they advertise it as having four). To clarify, using the three cables (the two direct ones and leaving the pig-tail unused) should be safe, right? I understand there are concerns with pig-tails if they are plugged into the GPU, but I assume just having it there won't cause issues. Any guidance would be appreciated! 🙂

Definitely stick with the two direct cables! That setup helps balance the load better and is generally safer. You can leave the pig-tail disconnected without any problems. It's better not to overload the connections unnecessarily. You won't need all three cables plugged in at the same time, so you're good to go!

So just to clarify, leaving one slot empty is fine? I thought I needed all three connected for the card to work.
