Hey everyone! I've recently completed a course on HTML and CSS through Skillshare and really enjoyed the process. Now, I'm eager to dive into JavaScript and eventually explore other languages like PHP and Python. I'm curious about how much weight potential employers put on where your certificates are from. Is it better to choose a platform other than Skillshare? I'm not aiming for a full bachelor's degree due to cost, but I definitely want to make sure my certificates will be seen as valid when I'm job hunting. Any insights?

In my experience, employers don’t focus much on certificates beyond the initial application stage. What really matters is your ability to demonstrate your skills. Building a strong portfolio and being able to discuss your projects is key. At this point in your journey, follow what feels right for you financially and stick with sources that resonate. In a year or so, you’ll have a better idea of what you need, but for now, any learning resource can help you out!
