Ethernet Connection Causing Odd Issues for Gaming and Streaming

Hey everyone, my friend typically relies on an Ethernet connection for better performance than WiFi—especially for online gaming. However, it's been causing some really bizarre problems lately. Here's a list of the issues they're facing:

- Discord screenshares fail to load
- Kill cams in Overwatch don't show up
- YouTube videos buffer every 20-30 minutes, butresume fine when paused and unpaused
- Most disruptively, they can't play on multiplayer tModLoader worlds—getting stuck on 'Receiving tile data: 6%' when they try to join other hosted worlds.

Surprisingly, all these problems disappear when the Ethernet is unplugged. I'd love to know if anyone has insights into what might be causing these weird issues!

Could your friend be connected to both WiFi and Ethernet at the same time? If that’s the case, try disabling WiFi and see if the issues persist. Sometimes having both active can create conflicts in the connection.

Nope, we tried that, and the problems still happened whether it was just Ethernet or both.
