I've been facing an issue where my Ethernet connection gets disconnected after starting up my computer. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my Linux setup, the Ethernet port on my motherboard, or the Ethernet cable itself. My motherboard is an ASUS B650 ProArt. I've also noticed that the LED on my Ethernet cable isn't working while this issue occurs. I'm looking for any advice or suggestions on how to troubleshoot this.

It sounds like a frustrating issue! First, I'd recommend troubleshooting by swapping out the Ethernet cable to see if that resolves the problem. If not, try plugging your cable into a different port on your router. Rebooting your router can also help. If none of that works, consider booting from a Linux live CD to check if the network works there.
If you notice the link lights are off on the cable, it's worth checking your hardware. This could mean an issue with either your motherboard or the Ethernet cable itself. Have you tried a different cable yet?
