Experiencing FPS Drops After CPU Repaste, Need Help!

Hey everyone, I recently repasted my CPU and after doing so, I've been facing a significant drop in FPS while playing games like Dota 2 and CS:GO. My FPS has gone from over 200 to around 100+. Any advice or insights on what might be causing this would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure the CPU cooler is mounted with good pressure. If it's too loose, it can lead to overheating, which might explain the FPS drop. If you find it's not mounted right, tightening it up may help! Just be careful when handling the screws!

It sounds like you might have a cooling issue. Try using HWInfo to check your CPU temperatures. If they’re hitting above 90 degrees, it could mean that the repasting didn't go well or the cooler isn't installed properly. That could definitely be causing your FPS drops!
