I've been having serious issues since switching to CachyOS; my system keeps freezing completely while playing various games, especially Minecraft with shaders. It requires a full reboot to resolve the freeze. I've tried increasing the RAM allocation for Minecraft, but the problem persists. My setup includes a 9070XT graphics card and a 7700X processor. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and do you have any solutions?

What desktop environment are you using, like KDE Plasma? It's essential to figure out if it's the entire system freezing or just your desktop. Also, it could be worth looking into whether you're using a specific version of Proton, like GE Proton. Keep in mind that CachyOS has a customized kernel for real-time input, which is somewhat experimental. If none of these tips help, you might want to consider switching to Fedora with KDE Plasma for a more stable gaming experience while still enjoying advanced features.

I'll check if it freezes again; if it does, I might just switch to Fedora.
