Hey everyone! A couple of weeks back, I shared some problems I was facing, mainly with KDE and possibly the SDDM login manager. Here's the situation: when I tried to log in, I often got logged off within seconds, and sometimes the whole system would freeze up. I was able to temporarily fix this by switching to GDM3 instead of SDDM.
I was told that my issues were due to using an unstable distro (Pika OS), so this time I went with a fresh install of Fedora 43 KDE, but the same login issues happened again.
Is it normal to run into these kinds of problems with KDE? Could it be related to my hardware? Is switching to Linux really supposed to be this tough? I'm really starting to feel worn out having to compromise on basic functions and troubleshooting. Here's my hardware:
