I updated my Windows 11 PC automatically last night, getting the KB5072033 and KB5074109 updates. Since then, explorer.exe has been restarting every 20 seconds, which is incredibly annoying. Also, some of my apps aren't starting automatically anymore, although I can launch them manually. I've already run the DISM and SFC commands but didn't have any luck. I've uninstalled the KB5074109 update and am considering removing KB5072033 next. Has anyone else experienced this? What could be going wrong?

That sounds really frustrating! It might be something unrelated to just the updates, like an issue with your RAM or SSD. If you've tried all the usual fixes and are still having problems, you might need to consider doing a clean install of Windows. Unfortunately, such things shouldn't happen if everything is working properly, but if you find a solution, let us know!
I had the same problem! Uninstalled both updates and everything went back to normal for me.
I had a similar issue with explorer.exe. I found that uninstalling those updates led to a return to normal functionality. Definitely worth trying for you too!
Before you go for a full reinstall, maybe check your BIOS settings or other hardware configurations. Sometimes, issues can stem from a hardware conflict after an update. Just a thought!

Yeah, I totally get it. It’s a genuine Windows 11 copy, and I’m using StartAllBack to tweak the interface. I might just update that software and see if it helps.
