Feedback Wanted for My AI Tool That Summarizes GitHub Commits into Daily Standups

Hi everyone! I've been working on a project called **Standup Mate**, which is designed to help developers streamline their daily standup process. Essentially, it connects to your GitHub repository and automatically generates daily updates based on your commits, taking the hassle out of writing down what you did yesterday and what you'll do today. I built this tool because I found it frustrating to rewrite my work each morning, and I believe automating this could save time. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on its usefulness in your workflow. Would you trust the summaries it generates? Do you think your team would find it beneficial? Additionally, any feedback on the user experience would be greatly appreciated! Here's the link to give it a try: [Standup Mate](https://standupmate.com/dashboard). I'm open to all kinds of feedback!

This is pretty neat! I actually built something similar into my CLI for quickly creating issues and merge requests. Check it out: [githappens](https://github.com/zigcBenx/githappens). Would love to hear how yours compares!

Not really interested in another AI tool, especially if it feels like just another 'slop tool' that doesn't address deeper needs in the process.

Fair point! It's important that tools genuinely add value instead of cluttering workflows.

I can see how this could help save time during standups, but calling it a 'standup tool' might not be the best fit. Standups are more about aligning with the team and discussing blockers rather than just reporting tasks. Maybe it would be better positioned as a tool for status updates instead?

Totally agree! Standups should focus on team dynamics rather than just task reporting.
