Feeling Lost with Development After DSA? Need Guidance!

I've been grinding on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) for about two months, tackling around 250 LeetCode problems mostly at medium difficulty. While I'm starting to get the hang of DSA, I'm really confused about the development side of things. I struggle to pick a tech stack, figure out what to learn, and how to move forward. I feel like I'm stuck in tutorial hell. I did complete a web development course by Angela Yu and managed to build a few things independently, but those projects were just assignments that I didn't revisit afterwards. It's been about 5-6 months since I last engaged with development, which has made me feel overwhelmed now. I find myself burning out with DSA while still being unsure about practical development. Trying to relearn everything from scratch feels daunting, and though basic stuff like HTML feels too easy in tutorials, I struggle to create on my own. Which tech stack should I focus on? How do I get out of this cycle?

You mentioned that you fail when trying to build something on your own. I think the key is to keep building projects with clear purposes. That way, you'll encounter challenges that push you beyond what you've learned. This will lead you to find the right tutorials or resources as you tackle specific issues you face along the way.

So, does that mean I just need to pick a project and learn the necessary skills as I go? What about the really basic stuff?

When it comes to choosing a tech stack, don’t overthink it! Just pick one that includes some languages you're already familiar with. Once you learn one stack well, it's much easier to pick up another one later. It’s all about building your confidence in one area first!

Alright, thanks! I’ll consider that!
