I'm putting together my first-ever PC and would love a sanity check before buying everything. My current parts list is:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
CPU cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro A-RGB 360
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI7 ICE
Memory: Lexar THOR Z OC 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
SSD: BIWIN Black Opal NV7400 1TB
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT Gaming OC 16GB
Case: Corsair FRAME 4500X RS-R ARGB
Power supply: Corsair RM650e (2025) 650W fully modular
Monitor: KTC H27S5 27-inch QHD 200Hz curved 1500R
The Ryzen 7 7700X is only about €30 more than the Ryzen 5 7600X. Is the performance difference significant, especially for 1440p gaming with this graphics card, or would the 7600X be the smarter choice?
I'm also aiming for a mostly white build. Would black power cables look noticeably bad? The RAM is already black, and I'm considering the black version of the graphics card because it's considerably cheaper, although it has two fans instead of three. I'd rather keep the white theme where it matters, but I don't want to overspend for no meaningful benefit.

At 1440p with an RX 9060 XT, the graphics card will usually be the limiting part, so the difference between the 7600X and 7700X probably won’t be very noticeable in games. Since the price gap is only €30, the 7700X is still reasonable if you want the extra cores for multitasking or future use, but the 7600X is perfectly adequate for this gaming-focused build. You could also consider a 7500F or 7600 and put the savings toward a stronger GPU, though that only makes sense if you actually want to change the build’s priorities.
I also noticed that the RX 9060 XT and RX 9070 GRE are sometimes listed at almost the same price, which seems unusual. If that’s true where I’m buying, the 9070 GRE could be worth comparing more closely.
Black cables won’t make the build look bad unless you personally want every visible detail to match. Black-and-white builds can look intentional, and the black RAM and possibly black graphics card would tie the colors together. There’s no real reason to pay extra for a white power supply if the black cables don’t bother you.
That makes sense. I also don’t feel like spending extra on the same power supply just because the cables are white, so I’ll probably keep the black ones.
Check the memory pricing before committing. If a DDR5-6000 CL30 kit from a reputable brand costs about the same as the CL36 kit, the tighter timings would be a worthwhile upgrade. CL36 isn’t unusable, but CL30 is generally the more desirable target for a Ryzen 7000-series system.
I haven’t heard of KLEVV before, so I’ll look into the brand and check its warranty and reviews before choosing it.

I’m intentionally going for the white aesthetic, so I’m not really looking to replace all the white parts just to save money. My main question was whether there’s a better component choice I might be overlooking. The 7600X was my original choice, so downgrading back to it is definitely an option if I’m mostly GPU-bound.
