Hey everyone! I'm about to embark on my first PC build, and I'd really appreciate some feedback to make sure I don't screw things up. Here's my planned setup:
- **GPU**: PowerColor Red Devil OC Radeon RX 9070 XT
- **CPU**: Ryzen 7 9800x3D
- **CPU Cooler**: Deepcool LS720 SE
- **Motherboard**: MSI X670E Gaming Plus Wi-Fi
- **RAM**: Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB
- **SSD**: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2x2TB
- **Case**: Lian Li O11 Vision Compact (+ 8 extra fans)
- **PSU**: Corsair RM1000e
After a week of scouring the web for tips, I've come up with this configuration. I plan to mainly use this PC for gaming and video editing. I'm into speedrunning games like Sekiro and Elden Ring, and I also enjoy RPGs and story-driven games (like the Tales series). Rendering a couple of hours of footage at a time is common for me, so I know the CPU will be crucial.
I realize the 9800x3D might be a bit overkill, but I can afford it and want to go for it! Any advice or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

Everything seems good, but make sure your RAM is running at 6000MT/s CL30, and definitely stick with just 2 sticks (2x16GB) for the best performance on AM5 Ryzen CPUs. Also, don't forget to check if your case has enough clearance for that GPU. Oh, and you might need to update the motherboard BIOS, but you can do that without powering on the system!
Your build looks pretty solid! Just a heads up, did you mean to list 4 sticks of 16GB RAM? It’s usually best to stick with 2 for optimal performance.
Oops, yeah! That was a mistake. I meant to have just 2 sticks. Thanks for the catch!
You might want to consider getting the 990 EVO instead of the 970 EVO. The 970 is PCIe Gen 3, which is slower and tends to be pricier for some reason.

Thanks for the RAM and BIOS tips! I double-checked the GPU clearance already; it took me a while to find the right case!
