I just finished building my first PC, but nothing appears on the monitor. The HDMI cable is connected to the dedicated graphics card rather than the motherboard. The system uses a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Gigabyte B550 motherboard, Intel Arc B580 graphics card, DDR4 memory, and a 650W power supply. What should I check to figure out why it is not displaying anything?

Before installing everything in the case, try testing the core components on a nonconductive surface outside the case. Connect only the motherboard, CPU and cooler, one stick of RAM, the graphics card, and the power supply, then see whether it reaches the BIOS. This helps rule out a misplaced motherboard standoff, a short, or another case-related issue.

No, I did not test the components outside the case first.
