Fortnite Crashes a Few Seconds After Launching

Fortnite starts normally, runs for a few seconds, and then closes unexpectedly. I've already updated my graphics drivers, cleared the cache, repaired the anti-cheat installation, and verified the game files, but the crashes continue. Other games are crashing too, although I've checked and overheating doesn't appear to be the cause. What else should I investigate?

Check the Windows logs to see whether they identify the cause. Press Win+R, type eventvwr, and open Windows Logs. Look under Application and System for errors from around the time of the crash; the faulting application or module may point to a driver or system problem.

Since other games crash as well, this probably isn’t specific to Fortnite. Even if temperatures look normal, check broader system issues such as RAM stability, GPU drivers, background overlays, Windows system files, and power or hardware errors. The Windows Event Viewer entries should help narrow it down.

I tested a few other games and they crash too. I also checked the temperatures, and overheating doesn’t seem to be the problem.
