Frequent Blue Screens While Gaming After PSU Replacement

Hey everyone, I recently experienced a power outage that damaged my power supply unit (PSU). I've replaced it, and things seemed fine initially. However, now I'm encountering blue screens or unexpected restarts when playing games. Sometimes it freezes on boot if I try to restart immediately. I even swapped out my RAM, but Memtest didn't find any issues. Does anyone have suggestions on diagnosing or fixing this problem? Thanks!

It might help to run a GPU stress test using FurMark and check your PSU voltages with HWiNFO. Sometimes, power outages can cause partial damage to the PSU that only surfaces under heavy loads, and that could match your symptoms.

I've encountered a similar issue where my laptop’s GPU seemed to fail after a power outage. It would BSOD right after booting up Windows when pushed beyond light use. I suggest fully powering down your system, disconnecting all components, then reconnecting everything fresh. It might help clear any residual issues.

First off, try to gather the dump files for a clearer look at the BSOD issues. You can find them in C:WindowsMinidump. If you can access Windows normally or boot into Safe Mode, copy any dump files you find to your desktop, zip them, and upload them to a file-sharing site. Check out options like catbox.moe or mediafire.com if you run into issues. Multiple dump files would help us analyze the problem better, and make sure to adjust your settings to create Small Memory Dumps for future crashes.

Power outages can be tricky! They usually damage components through overvoltage, affecting more than just the PSU. If you haven't yet, provide those dump files so we can assist in pinpointing the root cause of the crashes. Someone else might have valuable insights once they see the crash logs!
