Frustrated with USB-C to headphone jack adapters—any recommendations for something that lasts?

I'm really fed up with the whole USB-C to headphone jack situation. I've gone through four different adapters, and they all seem to break after about a month, despite trying various brands and spending over 25 euros each time. I've used official ones from Samsung and OnePlus as well as others. I don't put them under much stress; I mostly use them while sitting at my desk or on the bus. I really don't want to switch to Bluetooth because I have some top-notch studio-grade headphones that I need for sound suppression, which is crucial for me. So, any suggestions for an indestructible adapter? I'm ready to pay a premium for durability!

For sure! Investing in a good DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) made with quality materials can really enhance your sound experience too. I heard that ChiFi products work well and are reliable. I’m using one from DDHiFi, and it’s built to last—no issues in over 2 years for me!

Why not consider getting a phone that still has a headphone jack? You can check out some recent models on gsmarena that match your specs. Alternatively, a dedicated audio device like an MP3 player or a small tablet could be a good move too if you want to keep enjoying your headphones.

I totally get your frustration! Many USB-C to 3.5mm adapters just don’t hold up over time. If you’re looking for something solid, check out the ddHiFi TC35 Pro Eye or the Cayin RU6. These are well-made and come with quality DACs, which might be worth the investment for your headphones. They range between €50 to €150, but it sounds like they could save you money in the long run by not breaking after a month.

You can find cheap DACs for less than $10 on sites like Aliexpress. I have a similar one, and it works great without any drivers needed. But I know the shipping can take a while, plus there's always the risk of package theft. That said, I’m still not sure this is the durability you’re looking for!

I really need something that lasts, not another cheap option that might break! Plus, I have trouble with package theft, so long shipping isn’t ideal for me.

But isn't suggesting something that breaks easily again part of the problem?
