The crash isn't a typical blue screen—the display becomes partially black, with one side of the screen affected before the system crashes or stops responding. What should I check next?

Check Windows Event Viewer after the crash. Open it by searching for “Event Viewer,” then go to Windows Logs > System and look for errors or critical events at the time the crash happened. The messages may point to a graphics driver, GPU, power, or hardware problem.
