I'm using Windows with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. GeForce Experience finishes downloading the newest driver, but afterward Windows still reports that I'm using the older version and it looks like nothing was installed. What should I check or try to get the driver update working?

First confirm the installed version in NVIDIA Control Panel or Device Manager rather than relying only on GeForce Experience. Try running GeForce Experience as administrator and choose the Custom installation option, then select “Perform a clean installation.” If that still fails, download the RTX 3060 driver directly from NVIDIA’s website and install it manually.
If the RTX 3060 is inside a Dell, HP, Lenovo, or another prebuilt system, the manufacturer may provide a customized driver. In that case, check the computer maker’s support page first. You can also remove the existing NVIDIA driver with a clean uninstall and then try the appropriate OEM or NVIDIA driver again.
I’m on Windows and using GeForce Experience with an RTX 3060, but I haven’t tried the manual installer yet.
