Having Trouble with Easy Anti-Cheat on Starship Troopers Extermination?

I'm trying to play Starship Troopers: Extermination, but whenever it gets to loading Easy Anti-Cheat, the game just shuts down without showing any error messages. Is there something I might be missing? Do I need to install any specific drivers or anything to make it work?

It looks like the game should work fine! You can find the ProtonDB link here: https://www.protondb.com/app/1268750. Just make sure to install Proton's Easy Anti-Cheat from your Steam library and then boot up the game again.
