Help! Airplane Mode is Stuck On in Windows 11

I'm using an Acer Nitro AN515-55 and ran into a frustrating issue. My computer unexpectedly lost its internet connection, and when I checked the taskbar, I found that airplane mode was activated. The worst part is that the option to turn it off is greyed out. I've tried a bunch of fixes like running troubleshooters, toggling airplane mode via the command line, adjusting settings in the registry editor, and ensuring my drivers are up to date. I even uninstalled the airplane mode control driver and restarted my computer, but nothing has worked. Bluetooth is also disabled and I can't turn it on. Since I'm without internet and don't have an Ethernet cable right now (I've ordered one, but it'll take a few days to arrive), I'm really stuck. Any advice would be super helpful! Oh, and I've already tried using the Fn + F3 function key, but that didn't change anything either.

Just a heads-up, it might also help to check your device settings. Sometimes, if the Wi-Fi options are missing from the settings menu completely, re-enabling the network adapter can fix that issue. You might need internet access for that, but if you can find a workaround temporarily, it might be worth a shot.

If you've already tried Fn + F3 and nothing happened, you might want to check your BIOS settings. Sometimes toggling settings there can solve these types of issues, but make sure you back up your data just to be safe!

Thanks for the tip! I'll look into the BIOS settings once I get my new Ethernet cable.

It sounds like there could be a physical switch for airplane mode on your laptop that you might have missed. Double-check the sides of your laptop for any buttons or switches that can control this feature. Sometimes these are pretty subtle!

I know it has a function key, but I tried that and it didn't work at all.
