I'm having a frustrating issue with my Windows 11 PC. Normally, I'm prompted to enter my PIN when I start up, but lately, it's saying my PIN isn't available. It tells me I need to set up a new PIN. When I try to do that, it asks if I want to install an app to proceed, but when I hit 'Yes', nothing happens. I'm really stuck here. Any advice on how to sort this out?

Before diving into more complex solutions, make sure your Windows 11 is fully updated. Sometimes, minor bugs can cause weird issues like this, and Microsoft releases patches that can fix them. Go to Settings > Update & Security and check for updates. If everything’s up to date but still not working, then consider contacting Microsoft Support for assistance.
It's important to remember that messing with system settings or the BIOS can lead to data loss, so always have your backups ready! If you’ve made any recent changes that could affect access to your account, ensure you can restore everything first. Also, if you really can’t get past the login, you might need to reset your PC, but that should be a last resort.
It sounds like your Windows 11 installation might have some issues. First, you should try booting into Safe Mode. That might let you log in and set up your PIN properly. Try holding the Shift key while you restart your PC, then go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings. From there, select Safe Mode and see if you can log in. Let me know if that works!
Also, if you’re asked for your Microsoft password, that’s normal if your account is set up that way. You can reset your PIN once you’re back to the main OS.

If logging in with Safe Mode works, you can then try to reset your PIN in the settings afterward. Just make sure to restart your PC normally to exit Safe Mode!
