I'm having a tough time resetting my Acer Nitro AN 515-58 (3050 Version) gaming laptop. I initially tried the standard reset method by selecting "Reset my PC" and choosing the option to remove everything with a cloud download, but I kept getting an error about server connection issues. After checking my internet connection and trying both LAN and Wi-Fi, I attempted a local reinstall which loaded but ultimately failed. I then went into advanced startup options and ran the SFC scan, but that didn't help either. I even attempted a clean install from a USB drive, but now my hard drive isn't showing up as an option for Windows installation. I've been troubleshooting for about 3 hours and I'm really frustrated. Any guidance would be appreciated!

You might want to try formatting the disk using the Command Prompt if it shows up there. Use 'diskpart' to format it. There are plenty of guides online if you search for "format drive with dskpart" that could walk you through it step by step.
It sounds like you're running into some tricky issues with your hard drive visibility. Have you tried disabling the VMD option in the BIOS? Sometimes, that can help the system recognize the drive for installations. If it’s not there, you might want to load the IST driver manually. In the BIOS, I’m seeing options for VTX and VTD, but VMD isn’t listed. I’ll try to load the driver manually as you suggested.
I can’t even format the disk since it won’t show up while I’m booted in! I tried to do it during the Windows installation process but no luck.
