I'm planning to build a gaming-only PC in the UK with a budget of roughly £2,000–£3,000. I play a wide range of genres, including demanding strategy games, The Sims 4, Paralives, State of Decay 3, Fable, and heavily modded Minecraft. I'd like the system to handle at least 30 FPS at 4K, include a Wi-Fi-enabled motherboard, have at least 1TB of storage, use a dark or non-RGB design, and leave room for future upgrades. I already have all the peripherals I need, but the number of component choices is overwhelming, so I'd appreciate advice or example builds.

What monitor are you planning to use? The display matters a lot for deciding whether the extra cost of a high-end graphics card is worthwhile, especially for 4K gaming.
Since 4K is a priority and your budget allows it, I’d consider stepping up to an RTX 5080. A build using the same Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32GB of DDR5, 2TB NVMe storage, a Wi-Fi motherboard, and an 850W Gold PSU would cost roughly £2,600. It can also be built with an all-black case and no lighting, while still leaving a reasonable upgrade path.

A strong all-round option would be a Ryzen 7 9800X3D paired with a Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, a 2TB NVMe SSD, a Wi-Fi 7 B850 motherboard, and an 850W Gold-rated power supply. That sort of build should come in around £2,000–£2,100, depending on current prices. The case is mostly personal preference, so you could swap it for another dark model with the airflow and features you like.
