Help! Getting a HDD Detection Error on My Lenovo ThinkPad

Hey everyone! I have a Lenovo ThinkPad, and I'm facing a major issue. My laptop won't turn on and I received a "2100 detection error on HDD0 (main hdd)" message. I've tried accessing the boot menu to troubleshoot, but nothing has worked so far. Just to note, I'm not entirely sure if I'm still running Windows 11 since I haven't checked recently! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you get stressed out, just make sure you have a backup of your data if you can access it. You never know, things might just be loose rather than broken! But if reseating doesn't work, a replacement drive might be in your future.

It sounds like your hard drive might have some physical issues. The drive could need replacing, it might not be seated properly, or there could be a faulty port on the laptop's motherboard. I'd recommend opening up your laptop and reseating the drive to see if that helps. If not, you might need to take it to a repair shop for further diagnostics.
