I tried to transfer a file from my phone to my Windows 11 laptop, but when I opened the option to receive files on my laptop, I got an error message saying, "Windows was unable to transfer some files. An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used." What does this error mean, and how can I fix it?

It sounds like you're encountering a protocol issue with the file transfer. If you're not using Bluetooth or another method like a USB cable, that could be the problem. I suggest trying a USB cable if possible, but if yours is faulty, maybe consider transferring files through cloud services like Google Drive. That way, you can upload from your phone and download directly to your laptop without hassle.

Thanks for your suggestion! My USB cable isn't working right now, so I'm actually uploading the files to Google Drive to get them on my laptop.
