Help! I Deleted All My Images by Mistake—What Can I Do?

I just accidentally wiped all my images from my PC, and I'm feeling devastated! I was using CCleaner to get rid of some useless pictures to free up space, but somehow I ended up deleting everything. I tried Recuva to recover the files, but it only brought back some random ones that aren't useful at all. Does anyone have any advice or options to recover my deleted images?

If your pictures were synced to OneDrive, check the OneDrive recycle bin! You might be able to restore your deleted images from there. But I gotta say, I've seen mixed feelings about Microsoft—plenty of folks love it, but others seem pretty frustrated. Just make sure to check your recycle bin!

For the best chance at recovery, you should turn off your computer completely and then use a different machine to run Recuva. Your current drive could be overwriting deleted files every time it runs any processes. Trust me, any program installed on your existing OS might have already overwritten your deleted images.

Have you checked out the Deep Scan feature in Recuva? That might help you recover more files. Also, try to avoid using your PC too much, as creating new files could overwrite the deleted ones you want to get back. It's probably best to keep the computer as is until you find a solid recovery method.

You might want to look into professional data recovery services if you're willing to spend a bit. Just remember, if you go this route, stop using the PC right away! The more you use it, the lower your chances of successful recovery.

There's a program called rphoto that helped me recover all my pictures before. Just make sure you don't do anything else on your PC while you use it. Install the program, start it up, and let it scan for your files. It might take a little while, but it could do the trick!
