Help! I’m Stuck with Error 0xc0000e After Switching to an SSD

I just replaced my SSD for the first time, and I'm in a panic. My friend transferred all of my old data to the new drive, but now I'm getting an error and can't get past the login screen, even after restarting the PC. It worked fine for a few hours until I tried to turn it off, and now it keeps returning to the login screen. I tried following online advice to boot into safe mode, but everything crashed. It's 4 AM, I'm freaking out, and my knowledge of PCs is pretty basic. Can someone please help me figure this out?

I agree, it seems like the data transfer didn't happen correctly. If your friend was supposed to clone the drive and didn't do it right, it could lead to issues like this. I'd recommend checking whether Windows was actually moved to the SSD properly. If not, you might need to reinstall Windows or restore from a backup.

It sounds like the cloning process your friend did could have gone sideways. If possible, it might be best to redo the cloning of your old drive to the new SSD. If that's not an option, you can try booting from a Windows USB to repair your system. Have you thought about asking your friend to help you with this? They might have more insight on what went wrong.
