I'm looking for a gaming PC that can handle recording and editing YouTube videos while running most games smoothly. I already have a 1440p 180Hz monitor, although I'd be perfectly happy playing at 1080p around 120 FPS if that allows more of the budget to go toward storage or other useful components. My budget is roughly 2,000–2,200 NZD, and I'm based in New Zealand. I may also have some flexibility if spending more would make a meaningful difference.

For video editing, storage layout matters almost as much as the core parts. Ideally, keep the operating system and editing software on one SSD, source footage on another drive, and use the fastest drive for scratch files or active projects. You don’t necessarily need three drives right away, but putting your heaviest workloads on the fastest SSD can make editing much smoother.
A sensible build could use a Ryzen 5 3600 and a Radeon RX 7600 XT, especially if you can find either component used. If the graphics card pushes the build beyond budget, an Intel Arc B580 would be worth considering as an alternative. Since you’ll be editing, make sure you have enough fast storage for recorded footage and project files.
