Help Me Build a PC for Video Editing and Gaming on a €2000 Budget

I'm looking for some advice on assembling a PC that can handle both video editing and gaming. My budget is €2000, but so far, the build I've put together totals around €2695. I'm new to this and don't have much knowledge about the most suitable components. I plan to take a course in video editing with the hopes of working as a freelancer, and I want to ensure my PC can handle demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, Arc Raiders, RDR2, and the upcoming GTA 6. Any tips on how I can optimize my build and stick to my budget would be greatly appreciated!

You're still a bit over your budget, but this configuration is much more balanced for video editing. I recommend swapping your SSD for the Samsung 9100 Pro, which is better for video work, and switching to a 7200 RPM hard drive. Check out this updated build I've linked in my message! It includes an Intel CPU which is a good choice for editing.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m curious if this build will also be good for gaming. I've heard NVIDIA is better for that, especially in video editing as well.

I suggest starting with a more budget-friendly setup and upgrade later if you really enjoy video editing. Make sure to consider what resolution you'll be working with too. It might be wise to take your course first before committing to expensive components. If gaming is a priority, you could separate your needs and get a gaming rig first. Keep your options open!

I appreciate your perspective! I’m not sure if I'll follow your advice completely, but I’ll definitely keep it in mind.
