Help Me Choose the Right Processor for My RTX 4060

I'm on the hunt for a new processor that will complement my RTX 4060 graphics card, but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with the choices. I've heard that the i5 14400F tends to run hot, similar to AMD processors, so I'm unsure if it's the right pick. It's important to note that I need a processor that supports DDR4 memory. My current power supply is in the 500-550W range. I've been using an i5 10400F and I'm looking to upgrade because I want to dive into more demanding games. Any recommendations?

The i5 14400F is a solid choice, and it shouldn't be as challenging to keep cool as the K SKUs since it’s maxed out at 150W. If you're concerned about cooling, consider getting something like a Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit cooler; they work great without breaking the bank.

Is the Pure Rock Slim 2 a good option for cooling as well?

Before you decide on a new processor, check if your RTX 4060 is being pushed to 100% while gaming. If it is, then upgrading the CPU could help improve your overall gaming performance, but if it isn't, you might not see a drastic improvement with a new processor.

I think a better CPU can help me maintain stable FPS though.
