I recently got a 20TB Seagate external hard drive to store my photos, and it was working perfectly until a few days ago. Now, it won't show up in the disk utility on my Mac at all, even though I can hear it running. I've tried restarting my Mac multiple times and even did a safe boot, but nothing seems to help. I'm really worried that the drive has failed, especially since I forgot to format it for Mac initially. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Have you tried connecting the hard drive to another computer? Sometimes, it might work on a different system, giving you a better idea if the issue is with the drive or your Mac.
I haven't tried that yet, but I'll dig out my Chromebook tomorrow and see if it works there.
