Help! My ASUS RTX 5070 Ti Keeps Losing HDMI Signal Under Load on Ubuntu 24

I'm having a frustrating issue with my brand new ASUS RTX 5070 Ti. I've installed it along with a new power supply and everything appeared fine until I attempted to run it under load. My system specifications include an MSI B365M PRO-VDH motherboard, an Atilius 850W Gold power supply, and I'm running Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS with the NVIDIA 590.x driver. The problem is that while the GPU works fine in BIOS and on the desktop, whenever I run intensive tasks like CUDA training, the HDMI signal disappears, the system freezes, but the GPU fans continue to spin normally. My monitor shows 'no signal', and I'm forced to reboot to get it back up again. I've tried various solutions, including adjusting BIOS settings and reseating cables, but the issue persists. I'm uncertain if it's a problem with my power connector, the GPU itself, the PSU, motherboard compatibility, or something else related to power delivery. Any insights or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered testing the GPU in Windows? That might help determine if it's a Linux-specific issue. Also, regarding the HDMI connection, are you sure it happens with DisplayPort too? A simple DisplayPort to HDMI adapter could help you check that without getting a new monitor.

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't currently have Windows installed, but I could set that up to test. I’m not sure if it might be a Linux problem. I hadn't thought of testing DisplayPort; would an adapter work, or is it better to get a DisplayPort monitor?
