I recently built a PC and I'm using Cinebench 2024 to stress test the CPU. Within just one minute, the temperatures shoot up to 90°C! Additionally, I've noticed that even when idle, the CPU temperature spikes up to 60°C. Is this typical behavior, or is there something wrong? What should I do to address this issue?

It sounds like your temps are quite high. I’d start by checking the CPU cooler installation. Reapplying thermal paste might help too. It's vital that everything is properly seated to ensure adequate cooling. Don't skip that step!

If you have a 7700x, high temps can be expected since this CPU is designed to push to its thermal limits. Just make sure your cooling solution is adequate. Re-seating the cooler and applying thermal paste correctly can make a big difference!

If you're using an AIO cooler, make sure the tubes are positioned downward without any bends. Poor circulation can lead to overheating. Also, what are your other specs? Case size and airflow matter a lot here!
