Help! My Custom PC Won’t Turn On Anymore

I built my PC from scratch earlier this year and everything was working fine until yesterday. I came home from work and noticed it showed a boot-up menu. I mistakenly hit F1 to go to the BIOS, but when I exited, my internal file folders looked weird and then the PC shut down abruptly. Now, it won't turn on at all. I checked the internals and saw that the AOI-pump and motherboard lights are on, but everything else is off. I've done some troubleshooting, like checking for loose wires, ensuring the fans aren't obstructed, and looking for burn marks on the motherboard. I've even let the power supply cool down overnight, but when I tried to turn it on, it only booted for half a second before shutting down again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your power supply unit (PSU) might be faulty. What model are you using?

I'm using the "ASUS TUF Gaming 850W Gold ATX 3.1." It's brand new, but could my setup need more than 850W? I also have three external hard drives connected.

It really does sound like a power supply issue. If it’s the PSU, your system might not be getting enough power to keep everything running smoothly. Have you checked the airflow balance? Sometimes if the processor gets too hot, it can cause an automatic shutdown for safety reasons.

My friend thinks that too, but he also mentioned that my CPU might be overheating. The power supply is at the top of my case, and I have two big fans at the bottom plus others in the back and front. I hope it's just the PSU rather than a fried CPU!
