Help! My Desktop Shortcuts on Windows 10 Disappeared

Hey everyone, I need urgent help! My desktop shortcuts in Windows 10 just vanished, and they're not hidden. I've checked the 'View -> Show Desktop Icons' setting, but it didn't make a difference. Strangely, only the icons on the left side disappeared, where I had most of them. This all started after I opened and closed Curseforge. I tried resetting and updating my system, even autosorting the icons, but nothing worked. I had around 40 icons before, and now I'm left with just 7! It's late, and I'm freaking out. If anyone has any ideas on how to get my desktop icons back, please help!

It sounds like your user profile might’ve had an issue, and Windows created a new one. Check 'C:windowsusers' to see if you have more than one profile. If you do, open them and look in the Desktop folders to see if your shortcuts are there.

HelpfulHannah99: If I find them there, is there a way to restore them back to my main profile? I really can’t remember all the icons I had, so I hope they’re there.
