I'm having some trouble with my GPU usage while playing Resident Evil 4 (Gold Edition). Here's a quick rundown of my specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9700x
- RAM: 32GB DDR5 at 7200MHz
- GPU: RTX 5070
- Motherboard: MSI B-840 Pro WiFi
- Storage: 1TB NVME SSD
- Cooling: Liquid Cooler (LS420 AIO, not entirely sure if it's the right model)
I also use a basic Redragon mouse and an unbranded keyboard with a 60Hz 1080p monitor (planning to upgrade soon). I've been playing RE4 for around 3-5 hours a session and started at 99% GPU usage, dropping occasionally to 86%. However, after about 5 hours, I noticed my FPS and GPU usage plummeted down to 35-45%. I've tried reinstalling the game, deleted the shader cache, and monitored my CPU usage—it started around 30-38% and sank to 17-20%. What can I do to fix this issue?

It sounds like your GPU might be thermal throttling. You should check your temps while gaming; if they’re high, that could be the issue. A monitoring app can help you track both GPU and CPU temperatures.

I checked, and both my CPU and GPU hit around 60°C, peaking at 65°C. But the other day, my GPU hit 75°C. Should I be worried about that?
