I'm having a strange issue with my PC. When I log in, I can't get past the sign-in screen because neither my keyboard nor my mouse is working. I've tried plugging them into other devices, and they work just fine there. Is there a way to fix this problem?

I actually did plug in a speaker and a mini fan to the USB ports, and they worked perfectly. My keyboard and mouse are still not responding, though. Any other ideas?
It sounds like your USB ports might be having issues. Try connecting other USB devices to see if they work. Sometimes, power cycling the PC can also help—turn it off completely, then unplug it for a minute and try again with your keyboard and mouse. Also, it might be worth trying different USB ports!
