I need some help here! I downloaded a file, and when I clicked on it, it opened this app that I can't exit from at all. I've tried every method I can think of to close it, including Ctrl+Shift+Esc, Alt+F4, and Ctrl+Q, but nothing works. When I try to shut down my laptop, it just takes me right back to this app as soon as I turn it on. I can't access anything else on my laptop; other apps won't open, and this app isn't showing up in my taskbar or desktop. I'm really stuck here and can't figure out what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also, sorry for any grammar issues; English isn't my first language.

It sounds like you might have downloaded some malware. A good step would be to reset Windows and select the option to "keep my files." This will remove installed programs but should retain your personal files like documents and pictures. If you can’t access the settings app or use keyboard shortcuts, that may complicate things a bit.

I'm a bit confused about what you mean by "app." Can you describe what's on your screen in as much detail as possible? What did you think you were downloading? Also, did you really turn off your laptop properly? How did you attempt to shut it down, and what did you see? I might be able to assist better with more details!
Pretty extreme to assume malware right off the bat! I’d suggest waiting to hear more from OP before jumping to conclusions.
