Help! My Linux Applications Are Flickering

I'm new to using Linux and just set up Xubuntu. While most things are working well, I've noticed that all windows, especially the terminal and Chrome, are flickering. I've checked and the drivers seem to be up to date, with no further updates available. Is there anyone who can help me solve this issue?

First off, could you share what kind of GPU you're using? Sometimes flickering can be tied to hardware compatibility issues or graphics drivers. If you're on a laptop, power management on Intel GPUs has caused issues in the past. It might help to look into that! Also, any video of the flickering could be super helpful for diagnosing the issue.

If you happen to be using Wayland, switching to X11 could resolve the flickering. It's an option you can choose from your login screen. Trust me, switching between these can make a world of difference, although some people still get confused about what Wayland and X11 even are!

This flickering issue is most likely linked to GPU drivers or compatibility problems. Let us know what GPU you're running! Also, the description of the flickering could give us more insight — is it from the monitor or is it happening at the GPU level?
