Help! My Lock Screen is Stuck due to a Virus on Windows 11

I recently got a virus on my PC that has locked my wallpaper and lock screen with organization controls. I followed the Microsoft Help steps, but they only worked momentarily before reverting back to the locks, and that was just for the wallpaper. After updating to Windows 11, it seemed to fix the wallpaper issue, but my lock screen is still unchanged. I ran the steps from the Microsoft page again, and my wallpaper was locked once more. Additionally, I tried reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't work either. I'm contemplating if a system wipe is my best option here.

If your wallpaper changed to something bizarre, that's definitely a red flag! It might be a good idea to look into your installed applications or any browser extensions you added before this happened. Uninstall anything suspicious, and then give another antivirus scan a go.

It sounds like you might be dealing with malware that has taken control over your PC settings. Have you tried running a full antivirus scan? This could help remove any malicious software that's causing these issues. Also, consider using a malware removal tool as a backup.
