Help! My Monitor Keeps Flickering Across Different Refresh Rates

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my Asus Tuf Gaming VG27AQM1A monitor. It flickers when set to 260 Hz, and when I switch to 144 Hz, I get some horizontal lines or glitches at the bottom of the screen. Even at 60 Hz, half the screen shows these lines. I've tried a few things already: I changed the cable, toggled G-Sync on and off, updated all my drivers, and even switched outlets. I'm out of ideas and really need some guidance on what to try next.

Make sure the cable you're using supports 144 Hz. Sometimes, using a weaker cable can lead to these kinds of problems.

I'm using a dual port 2.1 cable that claims it supports 4K at 240 Hz, so I thought it should handle 2K at 260 Hz too.

What specific cable are you using for the connection? The type of cable can significantly impact performance.

I'm using a dual port 2.1 cable. It says on the packaging that it supports 4K at 240 Hz, which made me assume it would work for 2K at 260 Hz.

Have you tried connecting your monitor to a different computer or gaming console? Sometimes it helps to isolate the issue that way.

I checked it with the same computer using an HDMI cable, but it was even worse with low refresh rates. I'm about to test it with a laptop that only has HDMI.
