I just bought a couple of brand new WD enterprise hard drives, but one of them is showing an error. I'm really new to self-hosting and server management, so I could use some guidance here. The other drive initialized without any issues, but this one keeps giving me problems. Here's a link to the error message if that helps: https://imgur.com/gallery/st4Vsnn.

Honestly, we can’t help much without knowing what the error is. It's like calling a mechanic and saying 'my car's not working,' without telling them the issue. They won’t know what to do without more details. If you could share what the error actually states, that would be super helpful!

First things first, make sure to clearly note down the specific error message you're getting. Just saying 'I have an error' doesn't help anyone to assist you. Since the drive is brand new, your best bet is to contact WD and request a replacement. They usually have warranties for a reason, and the return process is known as RMA (Return to Manufacturer Authorization). You might get a quick exchange!

Yeah, I can’t believe you have to do an RMA right out of the box. That's kind of ridiculous, isn’t it?
