Hey everyone! I just built a new PC and I'm running into a major issue – it won't power on! The fans are working, but I can't get any visual output, and it doesn't seem to boot into the BIOS. I've noticed that my USB ports aren't functioning either; my keyboard and mouse, which usually light up, are completely off no matter where I plug them in. I'm using an ASRock A520M-HVS motherboard, and currently, the motherboard isn't in the case yet because my technician suggested I test it outside first. I really need guidance on what might be going wrong here because I'm completely lost!

First thing to check is if the HDMI or DisplayPort cable is plugged into the graphics card. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that part!
Make sure the CPU has its 4-pin power connector attached. If it's not plugged in, the CPU won't get power, and the system won’t start.
I didn't notice a cable like that. Where should I look for it?
If you’ve added a graphics card, ensure you’re plugging the monitor into the graphics card instead of the motherboard.
Yep, I'm using the graphics card.
Could you post a clear picture of the motherboard? It might help to figure out the issue.

Are there any labels on the 8-pin connector that indicate 'CPU' or anything else?
None of them say anything.
Take a close look at your PSU cables. Most PSUs come with more than just the 16-pin connector – it might be hidden among other cables before you connect them to the motherboard.
I see some slim cables, but I thought those were for RGB lighting?!
Those are for RGB and SATA drives. Check the 8-pin connectors closely; they can split into 2x4. You might need just one of the 4-pin connectors for power.
Oh, I can separate it and connect it, but still nothing happens.
Yes, it’s plugged in!
