I recently bought a new power supply and attempted to install it, but I'm still not getting any power to my PC. I'm not sure where I went wrong, and I could use some guidance on what to check or troubleshoot. What steps should I take to figure this out?

First off, make sure the outlet you're using has power. Double-check if the switch on the PSU is on. It’s also a good idea to verify that the power switch on your case is working and properly connected to the motherboard’s front panel header. Lastly, ensure all the power connections to the motherboard are secure at both ends.

What exactly isn't working? If absolutely nothing happens, I suggest checking your front panel connections to ensure they are in the right slots. It might also help to reseat the 24-pin and CPU power connections on your motherboard. If that doesn't do it, try reseating your RAM and taking out the CMOS battery for a few minutes before putting it back in. If there's still no power, you might be looking at a dead motherboard, which is a bummer, especially if your old PSU was actually fine!

What's the brand of your new PSU? Sometimes, certain brands can have issues right out of the box.
