I'm having a major issue with modded Minecraft that's making my PC crash hard enough that I have to force a shutdown and restart. I can play other games without any problems, like League of Legends and Destiny 2, but modded Minecraft leaves me unable to use my PC until I restart it. I first thought it was due to a specific map mod, but after reaching out for help and providing a video of the issue, I haven't gotten any solid advice.
I've already tried various things, like allocating different amounts of RAM and reinstalling my graphics drivers, but nothing seems to work. My only recent change was my power supply; I had to switch from an old Thermaltake PSU to an Apevia one. Could that be the cause? I'm also wary about trying certain software for a clean install of my graphics driver because I don't want to risk messing up my PC.
If anyone has any insight or ideas on what could be wrong, I'd appreciate it a lot!

It sounds like a frustrating situation! Since you’re able to play other demanding games, it might not be a hardware issue. Have you checked the Event Viewer for error codes after a crash? This could shed some light on the problem. Also, trying different mod packs might help identify if it’s a specific mod causing a memory leak or if the problem is more general.

I tried multiple modpacks, and the issue still happens. I also unplugged my controller thinking it might've been causing black screens, but that’s separate. Monitoring the Event Viewer could be tricky since it takes a while to display anything.
