Help! My PC Hard Freezes While Gaming – Any Fixes?

I'm experiencing frequent hard freezes on my PC while playing video games. The situation is frustrating, as the only way to resolve it is by resetting my computer using the power button. I've tried various troubleshooting tips, but nothing seems to work. Here's what I'm working with:
- Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z270-A
- CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K at 4.2GHz
- GPU: Zotac GTX 1080 Ti
- 16 GB of RAM
- 1 TB SSD
The freezing doesn't happen with every game, but it's quite common with most. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think it might be a Windows issue. I've seen it before— even top-notch specs can freeze if there’s something off with the OS. It’s annoying, but sometimes these things just happen with Windows.

First off, check your CPU and GPU temperatures while gaming. Overheating could definitely be the culprit here. If temperatures are high, consider applying new thermal paste to your CPU and possibly your GPU as well.
